FAQs
Q: Is a Board and Train the right fit for my dog?
A: Board & Train may not be appropriate for all dogs. Some dogs feel so stressed by boarding that our private sessions become a much more solid choice for that dog. We will determine if your dog is a good fit for our program at your dog’s behavioral assessment.
Q: Will my dog listen to me after the Board and Train?
A: With our aftercare private session, we will equip you with the tools you need to maintain your dogs training and to support your dogs reintegration into the home. It is your responsibility to maintain the hard work put into your dog. Minimal daily practice is required.
Q: Can you meet every desire I have for my dog?
A: It is important to understand the limitations of each individual dog. We work hard to get every dog we work with to their limit, and bring them as close to the owners ideal as possible. This being said, not every dog possesses the characteristics or personality to suit every lifestyle, and some adjustments may need to be made both in the household and with expectations.
Q: Once home, how much do we need to practice?
A: Training a dog takes time and repetition, your goal should be to train every day. Although this may seem quite daunting, even 10-15 minutes a day makes a huge difference! If you can train more, that’s even better. Just remember, training is not something that happens just when you bring on the leash. Every interaction with your dog is an opportunity to reinforce what you’re learning with us, and holding that accountability is very important.
